About Fernvale Community Church
OUR PASTORS
Greg & Ann have been a team since 1977 when they married in Rockhampton. Greg lived in Toowoomba until he was 19 when a transfer with work took him to Rockhampton. Greg & Ann went to Bible College in Brisbane. While still studying at College, they were involved in planting a church at Samford which became a full-time appointment when Greg & Ann graduated in 1981. During this time they were blessed with 3 wonderful children. In 1987 they moved to Townsville where they led a church into renewal, seeing considerable growth, adding a youth pastor to the staff and establishing an emergency housing accommodation program. In 1996 Greg was impacted by God through a dream where he was called to plant a church in Fernvale. Fernvale Community Church was birthed with a desire to see transformation and revival impact the area.
Since moving to Fernvale, the family has grown. All three children are now married and following the Lord. Nine grandchildren have been added. Greg is more passionate than ever about seeing a culture of revival in the church, and the church involved in fruitful mission. In December 2010 G.R.O.W. Network of churches (Growing Rural Outreaches Worldwide) was established with a focus on Asia and the Pacific. This has involved Short term Mission Trips into Pacific and Asian nations as well as rural Queensland. Greg and Ann desire to see people equipped and released into ministry in a way which reflects Jesus’ ministry, that of declaring the Gospel of the Kingdom, healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing lepers and casting out demons. Their prayer is that “His Kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”

- Fulfil Christ’s Commission: To “Make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching each one to obey everything Jesus commanded His disciples” Matthew 28:18-20

G.R.O.W Missions
In December 2010 G.R.O.W. Network of churches (Growing Rural Outreaches Worldwide) was established with a focus on Asia and the Pacific. This has involved Short term Mission Trips into Pacific and Asian nations as well as rural Queensland.
Several partnered churches are involved in the ever expanding GROW ministry such as Trax Christian Church Lowood, and RELIEF Churches India enabling this ministry to expand to many areas to serve and share the life-changing truth of Jesus.

G.R.O.W. Network of Churches
We are involved in Growing Rural Outreaches Worldwide. Our mission includes a network of churches linked together for encouragement from a variety of denominations and also some independent churches. FCC founded GROW in December 2010.
CAP Money
CAP* Money is a revolutionary money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based money management system that really works. This course has universal appeal and will help anyone get more in control of their finances.
CAP Money is a three-session course, featuring weekly DVD presentations by John Kirkby, the Founder and International Director of CAP. CAP has trained three volunteers from our church to be CAP Money Coaches, who will work through individual budgets with you. This course will be run periodically throughout the coming years.
The Leadership Team and Money Coaches are excited about launching CAP Money as a ministry tool of Fernvale Community Church.
